Skills Development and Technical Education Principal Secretary Mrs. Renu Ji Pillai on Wednesday presided over a workshop organized by the Chhattisgarh State Skills' Development Authority and National Skills' Development Corporation at Mantralaya (Mahanadi Bhawan). The workshop was on ' Bharat Kaushal and Vishwa Kaushal Pratiyogita'. Chief of India Skills Mr. Ranjan Chowdhary was also present.
Mrs. Pillai said that competitions bring out the latent talent among the youth. Stress is on skills development of youth. The competitions are held at regional , state, national and global scale. India Skills competition will be held in 2018. The aim is to make India the 'Skills' Capital' of the globe. The State is keen on making less educated youth self-employed.
India Skill Chief Mr. Ranjan Chowdhary said that India Skill competition is held every two years. The firs competition had been held in 24 trades. About 1,000 youth under the age of 23 years participate in 50 trades.
