The State Government Social Welfare Department efforts helped in release of grants (subsidy amounts) to voluntary organizations. The amount has been pending for some-time. It may be mentioned here that the Government of India Justice and Empowerment Ministry's Differently Able Department grants monetary assistance to the voluntary organizations who work for educating-training and vocational training of physically handicapped children. An amount of Rs 17 lakh had been sanctioned to the seven voluntary organizations for the financial years 2014-2015 and 2015-2016. The Social Welfare Department Secretary Mr. Sonmani Vora had written to the Union Government over the matter.
