Chief Minister Dr Raman Singh has announced that the state
employees will be provided additional installment of four per cent of dearness
allowance. After the recommendation of Finance Department Head and Chief
Minister Dr Raman Singh, orders in the context were issued from Mantralaya
(Mahanadi Bhavan). As per these orders, dearness allowance of State
Government's employees will be hiked by 4 per cent from January 1, 2017. Now
rate of dearness allowance will increase from 132 per cent to 136 per cent.
Finance Department has issued these orders to all the divisional commissioners,
department heads and district collectors including chairman, revenue board. As
per the orders, additional installment of dearness allowance will be payable
from January 1, 2017 onwards. Amount of hiked dearness allowance will be paid
in cash. Dearness allowance will be calculated on the basis of basic pay (pay
band salary + grade pay). This will not include special salary or individual
salary. This order will be applicable on UGC, AICTE, charged employees and
casualty wages as well.
