Chief Minister meets with South Korean company delegation : Discuss housing projects and defence projects

Raipur, 27 June 2017 


Chief Minister Dr. Raman Singh today met a top-level delegation of South Korean company 'Hunwaha' led by Vice-President Mr. Lee King Hoon from Seoul at Mantralaya (Mahanadi Bhawan). The South Korean delegation expressed their desire to invest in low-cost  housing in the capital and other towns of Chhattisgarh.  The members said that they are willing for Public-private partnership (PPP model). The Korean delegation appreciated the development projects in Naya Raipur.
The members said that they have constructed a colony of one lakh residential quarters in war-torn Iraq's capital Baghdad. Dr. Raman Singh revealed that there are immense investment opportunities in solar energy, defence production and Electronics industry.  Industry Department Additional Chief Secretary  Mr. N. Baijendra Kumar, Principal Secretary to Chief Minister Mr. Aman Kumar Singh, and Secretary Mr. Subodh Kumar Singh were also present. It may be mentioned here that Chhattisgarh business delegation led by Chief Minister Dr. Raman Singh toured South Korea last month and invited entrepreneurs to invest in Chhattisgarh. There are about 40, 000 employees working in South Korean company and revenue of $ 65 million. The delegation members informed Dr. Raman Singh that they are keen on investing in defence production at Rajnandgaon district apart from housing units in Naya Raipur
