Chief
Minister Dr. Raman Singh today felicitated Dr. Tomiyo Mizokami for
spreading Indian culture and Indian languages in Japan. The felicitation
function was held at Osaka. Dr. Raman Singh while addressing an
Investors' Meet organized by Confederation of Indian Industries
(C.I.I.) said that he appreciated the efforts of Dr. Tomiyo Mizokami
for his abiding interest in Indian culture, language and traditions . It
is a privilege to honour and meet him. He is an intellectual and an
Indian linguist. He speaks fluent Hindi and also well-versed in Punjabi
and Bengali languages. Chief Minister Dr. Raman Singh said he was glad
to meet him. He translated 'Gurubaani' into Japanese. Chief Secretary
Mr. Vivek Dhand, Additional Chief Secretary Mr. N. Baijendra Kumar,
Principal Secretary to Chief Minister Mr. Aman Kumar Singh and other
concerned officers were also present.
