Electric sub-station at Jhalmala

Chief Minister Dr. Raman Singh today performed 'Bhoomipujan' of 60 kilometer road at village Jhalmala development block Bodla in district Kabirdham. The road to be laid at a cost of Rs 204.33 crore will connect 'Chilfi-Rengakaar-Salhewara'. Dr. Raman Singh said that the dreams of the forest-dwellers is being fulfilled today. It was a long-pending demand of the forest-dwellers. Efforts had been made from Raipur to New Delhi for the sanctioning of the roads' project. Union Environment Ministry gave clearance to the project. Fifteen bridges, 145 small bridges (culverts) and ten under-pass will be built for animals.
Dr. Raman Singh sanctioned Rs 90 lakh for the construction of Jhalmala Higher Secondary School building, electric sub-station at Jhalmala and cement roads. Public Works Minister Mr. Rajesh Munat and MP Mr. Abhishek Singh were also present. Chief Minister revealed that he is associated with the region for the past 30 years. He understands the problems of the area. Electrification of remaining hamlets will be undertaken soon. He said even Baiga farmers are growing vegetables with the assistance of solar energy-based irrigation pumps. He said 90 thousand women had been provided with domestic gas connections under the 'Ujjwala' project in the district. The target is to allocate one crore 95 lakh women gas connections in Kabirdham district. Thirteen thousand houses had been sanctioned under the Prime Minister Housing Project.
Dr. Raman Singh distributed solar pumps, irrigation pumps, radios and umbrellas to one thousand farmers. Baiga Adivasi girls were given cycles under the Saraswati Yojana.
