Raman Singh reviews development works in Raipur-Balodabazar-Batapara

Chief Minister Dr. Raman Singh today
reviewed the development works of Raipur and Balodabazar-Batapara at a joint
meeting of the top district officials at the Collectorate premises on the
ultimate day of Lok Suraj Mission -2017. He appreciated the 'Transparent
R.T.I.' Model implemented regarding the Right To Education in the district and
called upon the other district officials to emulate the model so that children
belonging to the deprived sections of the society can take advantage of the
facilities. Dr. Raman Singh revealed that thousands of ration cards had been
allocated during the 'Lok Suraj' campaign and new names had also been added. He
said that ration material should be distributed to the new beneficiaries from
next month. Assembly Speaker Mr. Gawrishankar Agrawal, MP Mr. Ramesh Bais,
Agriculture Minister Mr. Brijmohan Agrawal, Public Works Minister Mr. Rajesh
Munat, MP Mrs. Kamla Devi Patle, Chief Secretary Mr. Vivek Dhand and Raipur
district in-charge Secretary Mr. Ajay Singh were also present.
Supply kerosene till gas connection is provided
Dr. Raman Singh called upon the officials to provide
kerosene to the card holders till domestic gas connection is not provided under
the Prime Minister 'Ujjwala' project. Chief Minister revealed that there are 11
lakh homeless families in the entire state as per survey out of which 6.23 lakh
families had been sanctioned Prime Minister Houses. Dr. Raman Singh said survey
should be conducted in the slums and houses should be allotted as per the
population.

Health Insurance Smart Card
Dr. Raman Singh while
reviewing the National Health Insurance and Chief Minister Health Insurance
Project said that Chhattisgarh State Government would be increasing the Health
Insurance money to Rs 50 thousand from the month of July. Similarly, senior
citizens would be given additional medical assistance of Rs 30 thousand under
the National Health Insurance Scheme. Special camps will be conducted from July to add the names of missing persons
in the Smart Card list. Chief Minister instructed the officials to provide
Caste Certificates to the students so that they do not suffer for any benefits.
Raipur should become Smart City-Smart Capital
Chief Minister Dr.
Raman Singh said that Raipur is fast developing into a Smart City and Smart
Capital. Steps should be taken to keep the capital clean and green. He
instructed the officials to prepare an Integrated Action Plan to tackle
drinking water supply system and to treat the drainage water in the capital. He
sanctioned Composite Building at the Collectorate and a large Conference Hall.
Transparent RTI added extra 50 per cent seats

Mr.O.P.Chowdhary revealed that
Transparent R.T.I. had led to 50 per cent increase in private schools and 118
per cent increase in applications. Twenty-five per cent are reserved for
children from the poor families in prestigious private schools. About 100
schools and 50 anganwadi are being developed as Smart Schools and Smart
anganwadis with assistance of the Districts Mines' Fund. Pollution had been
reduced due to the sustained efforts of the administration. Oxyzone is being
created in the heart of the capital. Ten lakh 'Munaga' saplings are being
distrbuted in the district. About 25 thousand 'peepal' saplings will be planted
this year during the Afforestation Drive soon. Water harvesting systems are
being developed in all offices and residential colonies to increase the
water-table.
Make Baloda Bazar-Batapara district ODF by 2 October
Chief Minister Dr.
Raman Singh called upon the officials to make Balodabazar Batapara district as
Open Defecation Free (O.D.F.) by 2 October this year. Every hamlet- village
should be electrified by December under the Deendayal Upadhyaya Gram Jyoti
Yojana. Dr. Raman Singh appreciated the developmental works under the MGNREGS in
the district and distribution of ration cards. Public Works Department Secretary Mr.
Subodh Singh, Public Relations Department Secretary Mr. Santosh Misra, Joint
Secretary to Chief minister Mr. Rajat Kumar and senior officials of both the
districts were also present.
