Dr Singh called SHO on stage and took information about ban on illicit liqour supply

Chief
Minister Dr Raman Singh has once again warned bootleggers of strict
legal action. He said- State Government has shut down liqour shops in
villagers with population of 2500-3000. Anyone found indulged in illicit
supply of liqour will be arrested and jailed. Their vehicle will also
be seized. No bail will be granted on their arrest. Chief Minister was
addressing the public at resdressal camp organized at village Amaldih of
Janjgir-Champa district, under Lok Suraaj Abhiyan, today afternoon. Dr
Singh called Station House Officer (SHO) on stage and asked him to
inform people about the action that will be taken against bootleggers.
Dr Singh praised and applauded the SHO for informing about the effective
and commendable action to be taken in the direction.
Dr Raman
Singh informed people that State Government has made it compulsory for
all the patwaris to be present in gram panchayat buildings of their
headquarters on every Mondays and Tuesdays, so as to redress the
revenue-related problrems of farmers and villagers. Dr Singh said that
under Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana, women of nearly one lakh 90
thousand BPL households will be provided domestic LPG connection in
Janjgir-Champa district. 27 thousand of these connections will be
distributed in Sakti block. In the camp, Chief Minister gave away LPG
connections to 120 women under this scheme, along with warm wishes. Dr
Singh announced upgrading of primary ashram school of village Amaldiha
into middle ashram school, in the camp. He announched sanction of amount
from District Mineral Trust Fund for construction of building of this
building. He also announced increase in number of seats in school from
70 to 100. He directed officials to issue orders in the context by
evening. Chief Minister announced sanction of amount from DMF for five
tankers in order to facilitate drinking water supply in Amaldiha.

Singh was glad to know that the police and excise officers are taking
strict action against bootleggars of this village under Sakti police
station jurisdiction. Dr Singh called the SHO Mr. Kanhaiya Lal Yadav on
state and directed him to inform people about the action that would be
taken against bootleggars. Kanhaiyalal Yadav informed people on the mic
that Sakti police station jurisdiction in under strict survellience. In
the month of April, 158 cases against bootlegging were registered and
163 bootleggers were nabbed. In the current month of May, till date 14
cases have been registered under which 17 bootleggers have been
arrested. As a result, ban on illicit supply of liqour is being
effectively imposed. Dr Singh gave instructions to Revenue, Tribal Caste
and School Education Department officials to make arrangements for
issuance of caste, domicile and income certificates in school itself. He
directed the officials concerned to ensure electricity supply in
remaining majra-tolas within one month.
In the
redressal camp, MP Mrs. Kamla Devi Patle, MLA Dr Khilawan Sahu, Chairman
Rajya Antyavsayi Sahkari Vikas Nigar Mr. Nirmal Sinha, Chief Secretary
to State Government Mr. Vivek Dhand, Commerce and Industry and Mineral
Resource Department Secretary Mr. Subodh Kumar Singh, and other senior
officials and panchayat representatives of the district were also
present.
