In the current kharif season, nearly 5 lakh 33 thousand 270 quintals of certified seeds for various crops have been distributed to farmers in Chhattisgarh. This includes seeds of paddy, corn, lentils, soyabean and other crops.
Agriculture Minister Mr. Brijmohan Agrawal informed today that nearly 6 lakh 97 thousand 945 quintals of certified seeds have been stored for the current kharif season, which will be made available to farmers as per their demand. Mr Agrawal informed that in this season 4 lakh 94 thousand 580 quintal seeds of paddy, 4 thousand 812 quintal seeds of corn and 674 quintal seeds of lentils, 29 thousand 568 quintal seeds of soyabean and 3 thousand 636 quintal seeds of other crops have been distributed to farmers.
