Sant Kabir preached harmony among all religions: Dr. Raman Singh
Seminar on 'Harmony -Communication in Kabir literature'

Governor Professor Captain Singh Solanki today said that Sant Kabir was
the greatest global communicator. He was addressing a seminar held on
the occasion of Kabir Jayanti . He preached brotherhood among all
religions, treated entire world as one family and humanism as a virtue.
Kushabhau Takre Journalism and Mass Communication University and Kabir
Development and Study Centre jointly organized the Kabir Sahitya Mein
Samarasta Aur Sanchar' seminar. Mahant Sri Mangalam Das was the special
guest. Governor Professor Solanki launched University magazine 'KTU
News'.

Solanki said that what Sant Kabir preached is still relevant today. He
spoke against superstitions and disorder in the society. Global peace
will prevail if the society heeds to sane words of sages. He said youth
should inculcate brotherhood and moral values through education. Mr.
Solanki appreciated the establishment of Journalism University in Raipur
and said that journalism should be free, fearless otherwise democracy
and good governance will not succeed. The students will get sound
foundation in this university. He added Gurudev Rabindranath Tagore and
Mahatma Gandhi were greatly influenced by Sant Kabir's teachings.
Chief
Minister Dr. Raman Singh said Sant Kabir always stood by humanity and
tried to unify all religions. He believed in universal brotherhood. He
fought against blind faiths and launched a tirade against superstitions.
Hindus and Muslims wanted to perform the last rites of Sant Kabir on
his demise. People loved him irrespective of religions. His thoughts are
respected and followed even in modern times. His literature is
immemorial and timeless.
Dr. Raman
Singh said that Sant Kabir's books should be taught in universities
where fissiparous tendencies are prevailing. The youth will be guided in
the righteous path. Recalling the services rendered by Mr. Kushabhau
Thakre, Dr. Raman Singh said he spread cultural nationalism across the
country. He dedicated his entire life in the service of Motherland.
Chief Minister said entire globe had become a village and Sant Kabir is
the biggest brand ambassador of it.
Mahant
Mangalam Das said that the teachings of saints should be included in the
curriculum of educational institutes. Citizens know that Kabir was a
revolutionary and social reformer. Many leaders had been influenced by
his preaching. Kushabhau Thakre Journalism and Mass Communication
University Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr. Mansingh Parmar also spoke.
Large number of religious leaders and devotees of Kabir Panth were also
present .
