Large number of farmers, citizens meet Dr. Raman Singh at 'Jan-Darshan'

Chief Minister Dr. Raman Singh today called upon the concerned department officials to take stringent action against encroachers of potters' land in spite of court's orders against them. A delegation of potters from village Oteband district Bemetara met Dr. Raman Singh in his weekly 'Jan-Darshan' programme and requested him to order eviction of their land by anti-social elements. The village is famous for clay idols.
Dr. Raman Singh instructed the Bemetara District Collector to settle the dispute as early as possible. The delegation said that the aforesaid land had been allocated to them decade back to carry on their traditional profession without any hassles. The Tehsildar had in an order on 31 July 2007 allocated the land to 'Kumhar Samaj'. But still a group of anti-socials are carrying on farming activities on the allotted land. Eleven potters' families are unable to carry on traditional activity of clay art for the past several years.
The delegation of potters informed Dr. Raman Singh that the decision of Tehsildar, judgements of District Court and Divisional Commissioner had gone in favour of the potters during the past 11 years. A large number of farmers, students, youth, people's representatives from the capital and various parts of Chhattisgarh thronged the 'Jan-Darshan' venue.
A delegation of citizens from village Kampa development block Bodla district Kabirdham submitted a memorandum mentioning that about 200 homeless poor citizens of some wards at Kampa gram panchayat had been left out of the 2011 Economic Census which had made them ineligible to take advantage of the Prime Minister Housing Scheme. Dr. Raman Singh ordered the Kabirdham District Collector to act on the complaint as early as possible.
Chief Minister assured Village Gailunga (district Jashpur) Sarpanch Mrs. Malti Pradhan that he will consider the demand for construction of Stop Dam at the village. Dr. Raman Singh sanctioned laying of road at village panchayat Ranitarai district Balod on the request of Sarpanch Mrs. Urmila Sahu. A delegation from village Mudiya district Balod (Janpad Panchayat Dondilohara) in a memorandum mentioned that the water in three lakes turns green and thick in summer which gives itching sensation to the users. They requested Dr. Raman Singh to give permission to construct concrete drains from Kharkhara water reservoir to village Mudiya. It will give a lot of relief to the citizens. Dr. Raman Singh directed the petition to Balod District Collector.
A delegation of Kisan Kranti Mahasangh in a memorandum mentioned that 34 farmers of Charbadi Batagaon near capital Raipur be allotted the land rights. The farmers are occupying the land for the past 20 years. The court gave verdict in favour of the farmers. They requested Dr. Raman Singh to sanction solar irrigation pumps for cultivation vegetables. He assured the delegation that the demand will be considered sympathetically.
