Many announcements including construction of 8-km-long road made in chaupal held at Borawand
50 households receive domest gas connection under Ujjwala Yojana

Under
state-wide Lok Suraaj Abhiyan, Chief Minister Dr Raman Singh today
landed in Borawand village of naxal-affected Narayanpur district, much
to the surprise of villagers. Before holding chaupal there, Dr Singh
went to inspect aanganbadi centre and meet children of the village.
Chief Minister affectionately asked children their name. One of the
children responded that his name is Raman. Amused by his response, Dr
Singh said- Good that this village has a 'Raman' too! He extended warm
wishes to Raman and other children of aanganbadi.
When Dr
Singh saw that some children are making drawings on wall of aanganbadi
centre, he went ahead to join them and started drawing on the wall.
Chief Minister interacted with children and played games with them. He
also asked aanganbadi workers about the education-related activities. Dr
Singh took note of the vaccination provided to children and local women
in aanganbadi centre, and also about distribution nutritious food etc.
After inspecting the aanganbadi centre, Dr Singh visited house of a
local resident Mr. Bukulram, where he talked to an old-age lady Mrs.
Sundani Bai. Mr. Bukulram had got his house built in year 2013, with
financial aid sanctioned under Indira Awas Yojana. His family told Chief
Minister that their house has no electricity connection, on which Dr
Singh directed officials to provide electricity connection to Bukulram's
house. Mr. Bukulram's son told Chief Minister that his age has been
misprinted on the aadhaar card. On which Dr Singh directed Collector to
organize a camp in the village to verify aadhaar cards and rectify any
kind of misprinting found. Dr Singh also tried hand on bow and arrow
kept in Bukulram's house.
In the
chaupal held in Borawand under the shade of tree, Dr Raman Singh made
several announcements while interacting with the villagers. He said- an
8-km long road will be built in village Borawand. He also announced
construction of bridge on Bodra Nala on the same route. Chief Minister
announced distribution of domestic gas connection, double burner stove
and a filled cylinder to 50 families of Borawand under Pradhan Mantri
Ujjwala Yojana. Villgers told Chief Minister that electricity supply in
the village has been facilitated but connections have not been provided,
in response to which Chief Minister announched that all the households
of the village will be soon provided with electricity connections and
LED bulbs. He sanctioned Rs one lakh for construction of Devgudi in the
village and also assured of providing a harmonium and a 'dholak' to Jai
Kalimata Self-Help Group there.
