Lok Suraaj Abhiyan : Immediate action of Chief Minister's action : Suspension order of Janpad CEO issued within one hour

Janpad CEO suspended for not paying wages under MNREGA and laidback attitude towards development works
Chief Minister gives instructions to clear pending payments within three days
Chief Minister held chaupal under mango tree in Keshla- villagers pledged to make their village open-defecation free in six months

Under state-wide Lok Suraaj Campaign, Chief Minister Dr Raman Singh today paid surprise visit to village Keshla (Aarang block) Raipur district via helicopter. He held chaupal under the shade of mango tree, among the villagers. At the chaupal, villagers complained Chief Minister about unpaid MNREGA wages and pending construction of toilets. Taking the matter seriously, Chief Minister gave instructions to suspend CEO of Aarang Janpad Panchayat Mr. Nehrulal Maheshwari with immediate effect. Taking quick action on Chief Minister's instructions, Panchayat and Rural Development Department issued suspension orders of Mr. Maheshwari from Mantralaya within one hour. Chief Minister said that no irresponsibility or irregularity will be tolerated in development works. Officials found guilty will be subjected to strict action. Chief Minister directed the officials concerned to clear the payments of labourers with three days.
Large number of people gathered in the chaupal, excited to have Chief Minister with them. Chief Minister asked the villagers about construction of toilets in houses and its use. Dr Singh administered pledge of making Keshla gram panchayat open-defecation free in six months, to the villagers. During his interaction with the villagers, Dr Singh took information from villagers about the distribution of food grains in fair price shops, payment of wages under MNREGA, and other development works. On request of villagers, Dr Singh approved a number of development works for village Keshla. He gave approval for Nal-Jal Yojana to solve the problem of drinking water supply in Keshla. In addition, Dr Singh sanctioned Rs 5 lakh each for construction of function hall in Satnami Para and Yadav Para of the village, Rs five lakh each for construction of CC-Road and for completion of construction work of aanganbadi building. He also sanctioned Rs 5 lakh for Muktidham in village Keshla.
Dr Singh also announched sanction of Rs 10 lakh for development of play ground in village Keshla. He instructioned officials concerned to conduct survey for installation of additional transformer and extension of electricity line, in order to solve the problem of frequent power cuts. On demand of residents village Amodi, Dr Singh sanctioned Rs 10 lakh for construction of a function hall in the village and boundary walls in middle school of Amodi.
About Ujjwala Yojana, Chief Minister said that this year, 100 gas connections have been approved for this village. Likewise, next year also other beneficiaries will be provided gas connection. Under Prime Minister Housing Scheme, 14 beneficiaries will be provided houses. Next year also, other eligible beneficiaries will be benefitted under the scheme. On the occasion, Chief Secretary Mr. Vivek Dhand, Joint Secretary to Chief Minister Mr. Rajat Kumar, Collector Mr. OP Choudhary, SP Dr Sanjeev Shukla, Sarpanch Mrs. Sonia Sahu, and a large number of villagers were also present.
