Raipur : Senior devotees can tour Kamakhya Temple in Assam: Ramsheela Sahu : Maximum number of pilgrims should avail pilgrimage tours

Social Welfare Minister Mrs. Ramsheela Sahu today reviewed the Mukhyamantri Theerth Yatra Yojana  at a meeting at  Mantralaya (Mahanadi Bhawan). Mrs. Sahu said at the Mukhyamantri Theerth Yatra Yojana samiti meeting  that Chief Minister's Pilgrimage Tour Project is the top priority of Dr. Raman Singh. The project is very successful owing to the co-operation of various departments. The Minister ordered the officials to see that the benefits of tours are availed by the maximum number of old citizens. The list of religious places will also include Kamakhya Temple in Assam.
A detailed report was also submitted at the meeting. It was stated that since the launch of religious tour about one lakh 90 thousand 747 senior citizens had visited religious places all over the country free of cost. The Minister Mrs. Sahu added that the officials should see that a senior citizen avails of the opportunity to visit religious place only once so that other seniors could also avail of the facility. Social Welfare Department Secretary Mr. Sonmani Bora , Parliamentary Secretary Mrs. Roopkumari Chowdhary and Director Dr. Sanjay Alang were also present.
