The State Government decided in principle to waive Rs 1.40 per unit consumption on electricity to steel industry. The Energy Department issued a circular to this effect at Mantralaya (Mahanadi). The new price structure came into effect from 1 April 2017. The main aim is to keep the steel industry in competitive environment.
