Health Minister Ajay Chandrakar today met Union Health Minister J P Nadda and
urged the Centre to provide financial assistance for research work and
development of health facilities in the state.
The
minister highlighted increasing number of kidney diseases in Supbeda gram of
Gariyaband district and urged the centre to provide assistance in initiating
research work to know the cause of its spread.
The
minister demanded setting up of public health laboratory and regional health
research centre for research work in communicable and non communicable
diseases. He also urged the union minister to increase Chhattisgarh’s centre
fund under National Health Mission for improvement of health facilities,
infrastructure and human resources. He also urged permission for admission in
100 seats of MBBS curriculum in Ambikapur district.
