Dr. Raman Singh woos investors during Chhattisgarh Investors Seminar in Seoul, South Korea



Government of Chhattisgarh signed MoU with Sung Ha Telecom worth INR 120 Cr for setting up of Mobile manufacturing unitin Naya Raipur

 In the line to promote manufacturing in different sectors in Chhattisgarh and Make in India initiative, as part of State’s global outreach strategy, the State delegation led by Chief Minister visited Seoul, South Korea wherein the State delegation has met several top notch corporates, business houses.
Government of Chhattisgarh has organized a business mission in collaboration with KOTRA and CII. The business mission was held at KOTRA office in Seoul wherein more than 100 business corporates and NRIs participated in the Chhattisgarh Investors Seminar. Shri VikramDoraiswami, Ambassador of India in Republic of Korea gave the opening remarks at the seminar and highlighted Chhattisgarh achievements of last several years. Shri Won Sok Yun, Executive Vice President, Business Information & Trade, KOTRA gave the address at the seminar.
Shri N Baijendra Kumar, Additional Chief Secretary to Chief Minister and Commerce & Industries, Government of Chhattisgarh gave the address during the Chhattisgarh Investors Seminar here in Seoul. Mr. Baijendra Kumar also presented the Advantage Business Chhattisgarh video which was well received and appreciated in terms production values and providing comprehensive information about state’s strength and evolving opportunities. Shri VivekDhand,Chief Secretary, Government of Chhattisgarh gave the presentation on Advantage Chhattisgarh: ACredible Launch pad for business to the audience and highlighted sectors for investments in Chhattisgarh in sunrise sectors like IT/ ITeS, electronics, food processing, engineering, manufacturing, Solar Equipment Manufacturing among others discussed with the delegation. The presentation was very much applauded and appreciated by the investors.
Shri Aman Kumar Singh, Principal Secretary to Chief Minister and IT, Government of Chhattisgarh gave the presentation on Naya Raipur & Smart City. Shri Singh highlighted on investment opportunities in Naya Raipur to the dignitaries.
In the investment seminar, Hon’ble Chief Minister addressed audience and showcased Chhattisgarh in a significant manner and provided the brief about Chhattisgarh key infrastructure projects and invited corporates from South Korea to visit Chhattisgarh and explore business opportunities in the State. Dr. Singh address have been highly applauded and got the standing ovation at the seminar. Dr. Singh also emphasized on the Industrial areas development, Naya Raipur, Railways, Infrastructure and development in Bastar region. Dr. Singh also informed investors about recently launched SKY scheme in which 45 lakhs smart phones will be distributed to youth and women in the State. Also emphasized that there is a huge untapped market in Chhattisgarh and investors should look forward to full filling that.
            Shri Ramesh Agrawal, Chairman CII Chhattisgarh State Council gave the vote of thanks at the event. Before the seminar, Dr. Raman Singh also met Shri VikramDoraiswami, Ambassador of India in Republic of Korea and Shri Jaehong Kim, CEO, KOTRA and discussed on opportunities and Chhattisgarh potential. During the day, the State Government has also signed MoU with Sugh Ha Telecom for mobile manufacturing in Naya Raipur worth INR 120 Cr. Shri Sunil Mishra, Managing Director, Chhattisgarh State Industrial Development Corporation signed MoU on behalf of State Government and Shri Mok Lim Han, CEO singed on behalf of Sung Ha Telecom.
The State delegation had a one to one meeting with the representatives of MBON Corporation; Doosan Heavy Industries Ltd.; Sung Ha Telecom; Dasol E&C; MECEN IPC Company Ltd.; Perfec Clean Energy; ChunbukTechnopark; GIC Holding; RIST; Redox; Space Group; Safe Food Corporation; World Proton Corporation and MECEN IPC Company Ltd. The companies has assured the State delegation on their future visit to Chhattisgarh. The State delegation also had one to one meeting with Indian delegates residing in South Korea.
Korean companies also separately had one to one meetings with the owners of Mahendra Sponge & Power Ltd.; Godavari Power &Ispat Ltd.; Beekey Engineering Corporation; Inglobal Resources; Simplex Casting Pvt. Ltd. and Real Power Pvt. Ltd.
