Chhattisgarh Government's delegation
headed by Chief Minister Dr. Raman Singh arrived at Seoul, South Korea early
morning on May 29, 2017 and was received by the Ambassador of India to South
Korea, Shri Vikram Doraiswami and other officials from Indian embassy at the Incheon
airport.
On the first day of the visit, Chief Minister Dr.
Raman Singh had a meeting with investors in Seoul. The representatives from
Sung Ha Telecom met Chief Minister and agreed to put its mobile manufacturing
plant in Naya Raipur. Sung Ha Telecom is one of the biggest companies in the
used Cellular Phone market in Korea and have a high-skilled experience in this
field for 15 years. Chhattisgarh is fast becoming hub for Electronics
Manufacturing due to excellent business environment and friendly policies. The
excellent infrastructure of Naya Raipur was appreciated by investors.
It is noteworthy that Chief Minister Dr Raman Singh
will be addressing Korean investors on 30 May, 2017 in Chhattisgarh Investor
Seminar at headquarters of Korea Trade-Investment Promotion Agency in Seoul. The Investor Seminar will be followed by one to one
meetings with Investors.
First day of the delegation in Seoul was very
important in terms of learning opportunities. In the morning the
representatives from Indian embassy met the delegation on breakfast and briefed
about the region. They also explained about the world-class industrial and
urban infrastructure development in Seoul.
The delegation also visited Sungam Smart city and
met with officials there. Delegation found many similarities between Naya
Raipur smart city and Sungnam city. The innovative use of information
technology and data sciences for better delivery of public services were the
few of the ideas they got from the visit.
