GST will make India great economic power : Dr. Raman Singh : GST benefits will reach poor villagers soon

Chief Minister Dr. Raman Singh today said that GST will make India economic super power in due course of time. He was addressing the listeners in his monthly Akashwani broadcast 'Raman Ke Goth'. Dr. Raman Singh said earlier a trader had to pay 16 different types of taxes but now he had to pay only single GST. The authorities had been making efforts for Online process. The traders had been freed from cumbersome taxation procedures. Prime Minister Mr. Narendra Modi had coined it as 'Economic Freedom'. He called it as 'Good and Simple Tax'. Since Independence complex net of taxes had been imposed on traders but now they had been liberated from excessive taxation controls. The poor will be benefitted.  The items relating to agriculture and domestic consumption had been exempted from taxes. Eighty per cent of the essential goods had been fixed in the bracket of 5-18 per cent GST. The items used by richer classes are in 28 per cent tax bracket. Chief Minister said that 16 check-posts of the RTO had already been dismantled and the goods carriers will have a smooth passage. The benefits will be seen soon. Dr. Raman Singh assured the common citizens that GST is in the interests of villages, poor and farmers.
