125 counters have been opened for registration on GST portal for businessmen in Chhattisgarh. Besides, helpdesks have been established in all 30 circle offices of state. Registration process on GST portal will go on til June 15. Officials of Commercial Tax Department informed today that the businessmen and traders, who have not yet registered at GST portal, may get the registration done before the due date i.e. June 15. The traders and businessmen, who have registered on GST portal, but have not got their ARN (Application Reference Number) generated, may also get their ARN generated in this time period. Commercial Tax Department has opened many counters at various places for registration, where Department officials are present to help the businessmen and traders with the process.
Officials informed today that Digital Signature Certificate (DSC) or verification through e-sign is necessary for generating ARN. Businessmen and traders failing to register before the due date will not be provided ITC. Documents required for registration on GST Portal includes VAT registration certificate, PAN card, photograph, bank account statement or passbook, and User Id-password generated in previous stage of registration process.
