Chief Minister Dr Raman Singh today attended the Passing Out ceremony of trained Deputy Superintendents of Police (SPs) of State Police Service Cadre in Chhattisgarh State Police Academy in Chandrakhuri, near capital city Raipur. He took salute of the parade. Chief Minister on the occasion announced establishment of Composite In Service Training Centre in State Police Academy. Dr Singh gave away the certificates to new DSPs with best wishes. On the occasion, Home Minister Mr. Ramsevak Paikra, MP Mr. Ramesh Bais, Parliamentary Secretary of Home Department Mr. Labhchand Bafna, Aarang MLA Mr. Naveen Markandey and State Director General of state Mr. AN Upadhyay were also present.
As Chief Guest of the programme, Chief Minister Dr Singh said- police force plays an important role in maintaining internal security of society, state and nation. Dr Singh has expressed home that the officials trained here are ready to face all the challenges and live up to their duties and responsibilities. Home Minister Mr. Ramsevak Paikra and Director General of Police Mr. AN Upadhyay also addressed the Passing Out ceremony. Home Minister said that under the leadership of Chief Minister Dr Raman Singh, police force is being equipped with all the necessary resources for ensuring security of people in state. Number of police personnel has exceeded 70 thousand. Police force has significant contribution in peaceful development of state. Director General of Police Mr. AN Upadhyay said that policing is a service to society and nation as a whole. He added that State Police Officials and personnel are fulfilling their duties with dedication. In-charge Director State Police Academy Mrs. Sonal V Mishra informed in the report that training of 18 trainee DSPs had begun in April 2016 in the sixth session of academy, which completed today in the Passing Out ceremony organized today with Chief Minister as the Chief Guest.
